Earthquake hits Pohang again
A 4.6-magnitude earthquake struck Pohang, 300 kilometers south of Seoul, early Sunday, with strong jolts causing injuries to 22 people and damage to buildings. According to the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA), the quake hit the city of 500,000 residents at 5:03 a.m., Sunday, and was centered five kilometers northwest of the city’s Bukgu district office. It had a depth of nine kilometers. “It was the second-biggest aftershock next to the November earthquake,” the KMA said. The city was hit by a magnitude 5.4 quake on Nov. 15 last year. Since then, 90 aftershocks were reported.
