LG CNS, the IT affiliate of LG Group with specialties in digital transformation (DX), said Wednesday that it will accelerate its security solutions with Microsoft, mostly to prevent data leaks at firms seeking to embrace artificial intelligence (AI).
This is the latest in a series of partnerships between the two IT entities, after the LG affiliate entered into a partnership with the U.S. multinational tech titan as a managed security service provider (MSSP) and had a top management meeting (TMM) to expand its AI and cloud-based DX business. An MSSP delivers management and outsourced monitoring of systems and security devices.
LG and Microsoft collaborate on generative AI security architecture design, managed detection and response (MDR) platform development and strengthening cloud security business.
LG CNS will design and establish security architectures for generative AI including ChatGPT based on Microsoft's Azure OpenAI Service.
This will address and resolve data leak concerns shared by many businesses increasingly seeking to adopt AI-generated business models.
The LG affiliate will identify the exposure points and risk levels, to build a security system to reinforce protection.
It will fortify MDR capabilities. MDR is a category of a Security-as-a-Service offering, whereby an organization outsources some of its security operations to a third-party provider. It detects threats and works to remediate them on an organization's network.
In 2021, LG CNS introduced SecuXper, a new security brand with services covering operational technology (OT) security and Internet of Things (IoT) security.
"We provide top-grade global-level services, as underpinned by stellar human resources and security systems, including cyber control center and Red Team, a group of white-hat hackers," an LG CNS official said. "The cooperation with Microsoft will solidify our standing on the global stage as an advanced tech security leader."
