The Busan One Asia Festival (BOF), a major annual K-pop event, will kick off online next month in this southeastern port city due to concerns over the new coronavirus pandemic, organizers said Sunday.
매년 열리는 K팝 한류 행사인 부산원아시아페스티벌(Busan One Asia Festive, 이하 2021 BOF)이 코로나바이러스 유행에 대한 우려로 다음달 온라인으로 열린다고 주최 측이 일요일 밝혔다.
According to the Busan Tourism Organization, BOF 2021 will be streamed online from May 6-9 from the second-biggest South Korean city, about 450 kilometers southeast of Seoul, to reach more fans amid the pandemic.
부산관광공사에 따르면 2021 BOF는 5월 6일부터 9일까지 서울에서 남동쪽으로 약 450km 떨어진 제2의 도시 부산에서 온라인으로 스트리밍되어 더 많은 팬들에게 다가갈 계획이다.
The festival's three main events ― K-pop Concert, Park Concert and BOF Land ― will introduce K-pop acts, artists from different music genres and the culture of Busan, respectively, to viewers.
이 페스티벌의 3대 주요 행사(K팝 콘서트, 파크 콘서트, BOF랜드) 들은 K팝 공연, 여러 장르의 아티스트, 부산의 문화를 시청자들에게 알릴 예정이다.
NCT Dream, a teenage sub-unit of SM Entertainment's popular boy band NCT, and two other rising boy groups ― The Boyz and WEi ― will headline the K-pop concert.
SM엔터테인먼트의 인기 보이그룹 NCT의 유닛인 NCT드림과 떠오르는 신예 그룹 더보이즈와 위아이가 K팝 콘서트의 헤드라인을 장식한다.
An additional list of performers will be announced later this month, according to the festival organizers.
페스티벌 주최측에 따르면, 추가적인 출연자 명단은 이달 말에 발표될 예정이다.
Founded in 2016, BOF has been held annually in Busan and has developed into one of the largest K-pop festivals the country. Last year's edition, however, was canceled for the first time due to COVID-19. (Yonhap)
2016년에 시작된 BOF는 매년 부산에서 개최되고 있으며, 국내 최대 규모의 K팝 페스티벌로 발전해 왔다. 그러나 지난해 코로나19로 인해 처음으로 취소되었다.
