Kylian Mbappe has been ruled out of France's Nations League game against World Cup runners-up Croatia on Tuesday after testing positive for Covid-19, national team management said Monday.
프랑스 축구국가대표 킬리안 음바페가 코로나바이러스 확진 판정을 받으며 화요일 열리는 네이션스리그 크로아티아전에서 제외됐다고 프랑스 대표팀이 월요일 밝혔다.
Mbappe, who took part in Monday evening's training session before learning the result of his test, is the seventh Paris Saint-Germain player to contract the virus. Brazilian soccer star Neymar was among the first to test positive last week.
검사 결과를 알기 전인 월요일 저녁 훈련에 참가한 음바페는 파리 생제르맹(PSG)에서 7번째로 바이러스에 감염된 선수가 됐다. 브라질 축구 스타 네이마르가 지난주 PSG 선수단 내 첫 감염자가 됐다.
"He was set aside from the group after receiving the results at the end of training before returning to his home in the evening," French team management said. "Like the rest of the squad, Mbappe had undergone a test prior to meeting up.
프랑스 대표팀은 "음바페는 훈련이 끝날 무렵 검사 결과를 받고 저녁에 집으로 갔다"며 "다른 선수들과 마찬가지로 음바페도 대표팀 입소 전에 코로나 검사를 받았다"고 설명했다.
The result was negative like the one on Wednesday" requested by UEFA ahead of the Sweden fixture on Saturday in Solna, management said.
프랑스 대표팀은 "대표팀 입소 전의 결과는 지난 토요일 스웨덴전을 앞두고 UEFA의 요청에 따라 받은 검사 결과와 마찬가지로 음성이었다"고 밝혔다.
Mbappe scored the winner for the world champions in a 1-0 victory over Sweden in their opening Nations League encounter.
음바페는 스웨덴과의 네이션스 리그 개막전에서 결승 골을 넣으며 프랑스에 1대0 승리를 가져다주었다.
Mbappe is the fourth player to be withdrawn from the France squad following a positive Covid-19 test.
음바페는 코로나19 검사에서 양성반응이 나와 프랑스 대표팀에서 탈락한 4번째 선수가 됐다.
